The SESAME Synchrotron inauguration - Invitation only

OPEN SESAME partners have been invited to the official opening ceremony of the SESAME Synchrotron, which will take place on 16 May, in the presence of the King of Jordan. 

 

About SESAME
SESAME (Synchrotron-light for Experimental Science and Applications in the Middle East) is a synchrotron light source based in Jordan and is the Middle East’s first major international research centre. It is an autonomous intergovernmental scientific and technological centre of excellence open to all scientists from the Middle East and elsewhere. SESAME's well-equipped beamlines, experimental end stations, laboratories, and other support facilities are available mainly to researchers from SESAME Members - Cyprus, Egypt, Iran (Islamic Republic of), Israel, Jordan, Pakistan, the Palestinian Authority and Turkey - but also to non-members.
